Correction

In my post about my host dad's birthday, there is an equivocation... I meant to say that the kitchen is NOT the place that I feel most competent (the word in capital letters was originally ommitted).

As I was sharing with Jason, my kitchen repertoire consists of the following: grilled cheese sandwiches, green beans, scrambled eggs, spaghetti (only the pasta -- not the sauce), and banana bread.

I will add, however, that the quality of my banana bread has thus far compensated for my otherwise lack of kitchen skills.

Speaking of the kitchen, since this weekend is a holiday weekend, I anticipate trying many interesting foods typical of celebrations here in Ecuador. That might include cuy, also known as guinea pig. I'll try to remember to take lots of pictures!
